Off to CanUX ‘07

Well it's that time of year again. I'm off to the Canadian User Experience '07 conference in Banff. This years looks like it will be a great event (as was last year) with a wide range of talks and topics.

iPhone: Time’s Invention of the Year

Time Magazine has announced the iPhone as the Invention of the Year.

Here are their reasons:

  1. The iPhone is Pretty
  2. It's touchy feely
  3. It will make other phones better
  4. It's not a phone, it's a platform
  5. It is but the ghost of iPhones yet to come

Can't disagree with that decision.

Millions of gPhones

All of the hype around Google's supposed gPhone that's been keeping tech writers busy for the past few months has finally come to realization. Yesterday Google announced a new open source mobile operating system called "Android". So no gPhone (as of yet) but instead we get an operating system which will create millions of gPhones... or Androids.
